New Wood Flooring
There are many different styles of gymnasium floors to choose from. The one specified here is one of the most resilient styles of flooring available.

New wood flooring installation steps:
1) Staple 32 3/8" rubber pads to 4 by 8 foot sheets of 1/2" plywood.
2) Lay plywood sheets opposite direction of strip flooring.
3) Lay a second layer of 1/2" plywood at a 45° angle to the first layer of ply.
4) Lay strip flooring parallel with the main court.
5) Install standards where necessary.
6) Sanding process down to 100 grit.
7) Buffing and cleaning.
8) Seal floor.
9) Mark courts and paint lines and logos.
10) Clean floor and apply finish.
11) Buff and clean.
12) Apply final 2 coats of finish.
The total thickness of this installation is 2 1/8" (other styles available upon request).
